Hello and Happy Holidays!
Wishing you all health and happiness!
Some good news here in Seattle - I just completed my final case work and was accepted by the Council on Homeopathic Certification to be nationally certified as a Classical Homeopath. I will now don the CCH (Certifed in Classical Homeopathy) behind my name. This is an important certification for homeopaths, and I have been working on it for the past 3 years. It is the standard measure for homeopaths in the US and Canada. It is filled with difficult exams capped off with submitting 5 cured cases of at least 6 months of follow up. Many practitioners who are homeopaths including ND's, MD's, RN's, DC's, LAc's and Therapists will often include CCH if they have passed the exams and case work. It is a benchmark of proficiency as a homeopath and I am finally glad to have achieved it.
The Council for Homeopathic Certification = CHC
The CHC was created some 15 years ago to define and promote homeopaths wanting to set a standard of care in homeopathy. It is a diverse group of peers including professional homeopaths, MD's, Naturopaths, Chiroprators, and Therapists who all practice homeopathy. It is like our board exams. It is a measure of proficiency, a standard. To even approach taking the exams one has to have at least 500 hours of clinical training, and well over 500 hours of classroom time. The CHC has a website - www.homeopathicdirectory.com
. There you will find homeopaths from around the US and Canada, searchable by state or province. We are growing body, and with more schools coming into being homeopathy is building a nice future for itself, and I'm happy to be a part of it. The CHC administers the CCH designation = Certified in Classical Homeopathy.
Open House! Sunday, December 7, 2008 12-4pm + Free bottle of Arncia 200C!
I've been involved with a lot of housekeeping at the office lately - painting, hanging some new artwork, cleaning. My office is at the Old Queen Hotel. And it has a bit of history. My office is in a section of Seattle called Ballard. Ballard is a lovely little village that has enjoyed a big increase in popularity. This newfound popularity has come about mainly as it has a facinating history that is preserved along Ballard Ave - where my office is located (5308 Ballard Ave)...It's an old fishing port and nary 100 years ago Ballard was home to the largest cedar shingle capital west of the Mississippi. Ballard attracted many people, so with this influx of people there needed to be vital services: saloons, hotels, brothels...indeed, Ballard has had a sorted history, sorted but very interesting. Ballard Ave has plaques and monuments up
and down the trendy and chic Ave now documenting where and when. It is lovely to have my office amongst such history. Right in front of my office is the fantastic "Ballard Farmers Market", it is the best farmers market in Seattle. There are organic fruit, veggies, cheese, meats - all kind of cool wares to be found - even many a troubadoor lining the curb. It is a delightful slice of Ballard. The Market is from 10-3pm and my open house is from 12-4pm. Come and enjoy a great time!
But most importantly it will be an opportunity for us to meet. If you are interested in homeopathy and homeopathic treatment, it is a great way to talk to a homepath about what it is really like to be a part of the homeopathic process. You can get familiar with the office and location too. And here is the address:
Seattle Homeopathic Centre - 5308 Ballard Ave NW Ste. 5, Seattle WA. 98107. Call if you'd like - 206.240.9513.
