Hello and Happy New Year everyone!
Happy New Year to you all. I hope all is well.
In the realm of homeopathy, all seems to be well. 2007 saw many wonderful events happen in our little homeopathic world. I think people are starting to get it. The ice seems to be thawing on the plausibility of homeopathy within the scientific realm. As the age of nanotechnology dawns, homeopaths have a new ally for the idea of the microdose. This is what homeopathy has been doing for 200 years – homeopathy employs “similars”, nanotech will most likely use opposites. Irregardless, the idea of a very small dose is taking hold in the medical world – and this is important.
On a fun note...this form of Homeopathy Seattle newsletter is 1 year old this month. Goo.
Another convert...
Homeopathy’s reach is growing. More people are getting it. I just got an email from someone who has received this newsletter for the past year and she said she just had to write me. I was intrigued. She reported that she had gotten outstanding relief from a remedy she picked by herself for a condition that was causing her much discomfort. Here’s what she had to say:
Dear Tim,
I enjoy reading all your newsletters but this last one got me into action. I have been dealing with sciatica (sort of) plus I have Raynaud’s disease & there was someone you had helped with these two problems. I was not that interested in addressing the Raynaud’s at this time but was hoping to address the low back/pelvic tilt problem which I had been dealing with for 3 months. I was in Physical Therapy about it for 17 visits & it did help as far as teaching me a lot but the pain level & tight muscles didn't seem to loosen any. Dec. 13th I took one dose of Rhus toxicodendron (30X) & noticed some slight improvement for the first time in three months. At that time I was not able to get a higher dose! So greatly encouraged I read & studied some more, bought another book on Homeopathy & decided that Hypericum perforatum (200c) was what I needed. It was 5 or
6 days later before I could get to a store that carries Homeopathic & on the way out of the store I opened & took the Hypericum immediately. I noticed "things" shifting in one hour! Now I really noticed a huge improvement & have taken it 4 times in a matter of 2 weeks & think I am on my way & don't need it any more! I met you a year ago in Federal Way at Marlene's when you gave a talk & want you to know that you never know the far reaches of the talks that you have given. Thank you so much for giving that talk & for having an email newsletter for all of us to learn from.
Sincerely,
A very grateful user of Homeopathic remedies.
See what I mean! The joy is spreading. You don’t have to be a homeopath to get great results. Sometimes a simple study will do just fine. For sure there are times when an expert is needed, someone who knows and sees with different eyes. For acute issues there is no reason why everyone can’t have a homeopathic book and a little kit. Nearly every health food store has an array of 80 remedies with 2 or 3 potencies. Let’s put a little perspective on it – Samuel Hahnemann did his amazing work 200 years ago with about 100 remedies. And there is little difference with the remedies he had and what we have today. So get out there and heal your family, go!
Please feel free to send your email about the joy of homeopathy that you have experienced. Or perhaps the joy that you want to experience. Some of the most ardent and staunch opponents of homeopathy throughout history have become homeopathic supporters because they tried it and got results. They experienced the joy of getting healthier. It is a joy to be healthy and well. Is it not? But when it happens by the hand of homeopathy the joy button gets hit more often and more joyously, because homeopathy is a miracle – by modern pharmacological standards homeopathy shouldn’t work, it shouldn’t happen…it isn’t possible. The secret of homeopathy is growing and opening to new horizons, and that is a complete joy!
Homeopathic gift
I mentioned last time that I wanted a book under my homeopathic Christmas tree. Well there it was all wrapped in ribbons and bows. Its author, Dana Ullman, is the cheerleader for homeopathy, the spokesperson for homeopathy. Since the mid 80’s he has written many books on homeopathy for the consumer and the homeopath alike. His latest book, Homeopathic Revolution, is a historical finding on the important people in culture, politics, business, medicine, sport and spirituality who have used and supported homeopathy in the last 200 years. It is such a fascinating read. I love history and I love homeopathy. Put them both together and it’s like reading a who’s who in homeopathic. To hear Darwin’s account of his healing via letters and journaling is incredible. History offers us a context onto which we read the story. And here it’s the context of Darwin years
before his writing the “Origin of the Species” and perhaps without his cure he wouldn’t have been able to bring his masterpiece to the world. A homeopathic what if…
There is a great story about Rockefeller and his love of homeopathy. There are lovely accounts of the great American writers of the 1800’s – Twain, Alcott, Henry James, to name a few, and their appreciation for homeopathy. Then to read the impact that homeopathy has had on 11 US presidents is really remarkable – Lincoln and his right hand man Sewell were big fans of this little medicine. Apparently Hilary Clinton is a consumer of homeopathy, does that change your vote?.. I’ve been skipping around the book, and it is a light, easy pick up and put down kinda read – bit sized tid bits. Please purchase this book – www.minimum.com or www.wholehealthnow.com. You’ll have a great time, I promise.
My Mission
My own personal projects for 2008 are lively. I have a lot planned for the year – marketing, perhaps a book, perhaps a product…many, many things. My commitment is steadfast as an educator of this amazing little therapeutic model. I will speak anywhere, anytime – let me know! I will continue to be a “value first” provider of homeopathy – if there are any questions you need answered please let me know, if there are resources you need about homeopathy – let me know. Let me be your homeopathic go to person. Here I am, take it.
Starting in Feb 2008 I will be collaborating with my colleague, Lone Pedersen to do outreach and teaching.
• We will be doing a lecture each and every month on a particular topic in homeopathy
• we will teach a homeopathic kit class – informally dubbed – “the Cindy Crawford class” every month.
• part of our outreach will include talking to members of specific support groups around the Puget Sound – ie MS support groups, Autism support groups, Mom’s groups, school groups, parenting groups, etc.
• We want to make homeopathy a household word in Seattle and we need your help – please let us know of a group that would want this information – we would love to help!
I want to reiterate my mission here in 2008:
Service and value.
How can I be of service to you? If you need to know more about homeopathy, I’m the person you can contact. If you need a referral for a homeopath outside of the area, give me a shout. If you need help finding a primary care doctor, either MD or ND, or any other kind of practitioner – massage, acupuncture, chiropractor, etc. please let me know. I would love to help you. This is your health and your life, how can I help?
I was bitten by the homeopathic bug about 15 years ago and watched some really dramatic healings happened, and I knew from that moment on I would be practicing someday. Over those 15 years I studied at different schools, and at mamy seminars. I am totally thrilled and blessed to do what I do. I thank my teachers and mentors who have guided me along the way.
It is my mission to help you in anyway. Let me know how I can do that.
